Reality Rewritten - Part Three

"What the..." I croak once more, spitting more hair from my mouth in a flurry of brown strands mixed with saliva. My voice rings out in a sing-song, albeit rough and exhausted, manner as the sweet and meek feminine tones seem to overshadow what little familiarity there was left underneath it all.

I gently shift my head around, shifting the hear from my eyes while I keep my white knuckled grip firm over my knees. Slowly but surely I clear more and more of my vision, my gaze darting between the mirror and the room around as I find myself looking at a clean and relatively modern apartment bedroom, the city skyline visible through the nearby window.

Plain white plastered walls catch the morning sun, the stark bright blank canvas being painted in the faint yellow hue of the last of the sun rise. The carpet is a faint gray, the short and relatively recently laid fabric looking almost and cold and barren as the walls that surround it. The far wall is made up of a wardrobe, the sliding doors being covered in a reflective layer to act as a mirror. In the mirror I stare briefly at the confused and terrified brunette, the young woman in her early twenties following my movements as her chest jiggles and jostles along with each of my subtle motions.

The right hand wall is seemingly made entirely of glass, the floor to ceiling windows allowing for ample natural light into the clean and clinical feeling space. Beyond the windows is the tops of the city skyline beyond in the lower half while the sky and clouds shift above.

To the right sits a door, likely leading to the rest of the apartment and a small wicker hamper. Staring at the basket I spot a massive black bra resting halfway out, the faint hint of a dark red sleeve resting beneath it before trailing deeper inside.

Changing Clothes: Kelly - Part Seven

A series of thumping footfalls race down the steps, overpowering the sound of chatter and giggling coming from the fairly tipsy Sarah and Kelly upstairs as they menace an all too eager to be alone Madison. Suddenly I feel a lump form in my throat as my heart skips a beat, my gaze falling on the tall and fit blonde as she stumbles down the last few steps with keys and a bottle of sparkling wine in hand.

She is dressed in the same yellow and black flannel top, now opened to reveal her toned muscular form. Her bust, concealed beneath a pale green bandeau swim top, appears relatively large in my shrunken form while likely being fairly modest on her taller frame. The same loose and well-worn jeans adorn or long muscular legs, though it the fact that a set of boy shorts or bikini bottoms lay beneath are not lost on me.

"He...Hey!" she croaks, waving at me with the same hand that carries the sparkling for a moment. Catching her mistake she quickly stops, holding the bottle firmly at her side as she grins nervously. "Sarah and Kelly said we should take this, and I thought it'd be..."

"Delicious" I practically purr, my eyes not once turning to the bottle by her side. The tone in my voice seems to set Wendy on edge, her lips flickering with a grin as she quickly bites down on her lower lip.

"Do you... uh... know wine or..." she blurts out, struggling to answer or continue the conversation. "Is it a good bottle or something? You can tell me about it in the car, I'm gonna be your driver tonight" she stammers, wiggling her free arms elbow briefly as if to invite me to grab on before she catches herself and returns to her overly rigid stance.

"Well" she coughs before turning to the door. "We'd better get going before Emmie locks up for the night."

Changing Clothes: Kelly - Part Six

"Hey Wendy..." I coo softly, immediately causing the fit blonde to lurch up as she spins to face me. "Did you want something?" I ask, flashing her a grin as I hold my hands behind my back demurely.

"Uhhhh..." the tall young woman begins to mumble, her eyes going wide like a deer in the headlights as I watch her begin to panic. "The bed is... kinda small and... I mean, I can switch with... or stay on a cou..."

"I'm sure we can work it out" I giggle, enjoying watching the fit young woman squirm as she mentally trips over herself. "We've got..."

"Heather!" calls out a voice behind me, a mildly panicked Kelly leaving her temporary bedroom with her arms filled with bottles of oddly familiar alcohol. My gaze narrows, my lips twisting into a pout as I eye up the various bottles of wine and spirits that had adorned my kitchen shelves only a few hours ago.

"Sorry..." I chirp, waving slightly to Wendy as she nervously waves back. "Be back in a..."

"No... no problem" Wendy calls back with a slight wheeze, straightening herself up as she seems to try and regain her composure. Taking on a feigned sense of confidence she quickly gives me a bright and eager smile. "We can talk about later tonight, when we grab dinner over at the hot springs" she chirps, her voices wavering slightly as her gaze flickers down my far shorter form before shift back to look me in the eyes. "The others... uh... can't make it so it'll just be the two of..." she manages to croak out, her tan face slowly beginning to burn red as she fumbles with her words.

"Sounds like a plan" a chime back innocently, giving the towering woman a grin that seem to nearly take her out at the knees. "Let me know when we're..."  I continue, only to feel a hand grab my arm violently as I'm dragged away with the sound of clinking and clattering bottles.

Reality Rewritten - Part Two

Empty, starving, hungry.

These are the only words I can use to describe the sensation. It is like something was missing, my whole body almost grumbling like the stomach of some poor starved soul. Tears roll down my cheeks as I slowly begin to regain my vision, my fingers digging into the seat beneath me in an attempt to ground myself.

The blurred words on the screen shift, deleting themselves sequentially before something new takes their place. Blinking rapidly I try to focus my eyes, the plain black text slowly growing recognizable as:

 Implanting: Very Eye-Catching

A mixture of sweat and tears drips down my face to the floor beneath me, the drops of liquid almost sizzling against the heated floor as the room grows more and more humid by the second. My head spins and my vision blurs once more as I slump forward, my fingers digging into the thin cushion beneath me in an attempt to keep me seated.

Reality Rewritten - Part One

The air around me feels almost too still, the white panels on the walls around me doing little for the airflow of my cramped little cell. Beneath each of the tessellating square ceramic and foam tiles a faint buzzing can be heard, the power running through the thick copper cables to the unseen components that click and hum to life.

I shift awkwardly in my seat, unbuttoning my light yellow linen shirt in the hope of cooling down and avoiding sweating through the think material. The room around me is truly tiny, though it wouldn't appear so on any floor plan of the building as the original walls are obscured by several feet of machinery and components to give this device life.

"Do I need to..." I pant, pausing as I look down at my black jeans. "Should I take off my clothes or..."

"That's not necessary Mr Hughes" chirps a crackling voice a small speaker by the sealed door, a small screen sitting above it in some kind of standby mode. "We can work while you're fully clothed, though we apologize for the heat.

I wave my hand at my face in a pathetic attempt to cool down, the air in the room appearing to ripple from the white panels as the small space grows more and more like some kind of oven. Apparently noticing my growing discomfort the voice pipes up again, the nervous sounding voice of the young man on the other end cutting through the crackling of the speakers.

"Don't worry sir, this is normal. We need to get everything warmed up before we can rewrite anything."

Diverted Debts - Part One

My head swims as I slowly come to, the lack of sensation leaving me dazed as my thought struggle to bubble to the surface of my mind. Everything feels muddled and dulled beyond the point of recognition, each of my limbs becoming lost in some sort of buzzing static along with even the most basic of automated actions.

From breathing to my heart beat, everything is lost in the feeling of electric noise that mutes each and every one of my nerves. Next it hits me, the complete lack of sound and faint flickering light sending my mind into a panic. However, despite the building fear I find myself remaining oddly calm physically as the void of sensation seems to contain all the way to my ability to raise my heart rate or hyperventilate.

As my vision begins to clear I find it obscured slightly by a thick vaseline-like ooze, the clear viscous liquid covering my open eyes and keeping them hydrated as I find myself without any ability to do so much as blink. Some monitor nearby flickers with green LEDs forming strange and seemingly random numbers, a main monitor fluctuating with what appears to be a graph of something that's lost on my addled mind.

Lost Clinic - Part Three

The walk back to the apartment is a brief one, though the incline does not make it any easier. Glancing out at the waves and the boats on the horizon I try to wrestle with my thoughts, to come to some conclusion or understanding on what to do.

"Maybe I should sleep on it..." I mutter, fidgeting with my hands as the options buzz around in my skull like pestering little flies. "Or maybe... maybe I should just test things out for a bit, who knows what that thing could do if I mess around with..." I begin to mumble, trying to rationalize merely testing various aspects of the device."

However, my train of thought is cut short as I reach the apartment, my gaze turning to look through a gap in the boarded up window downstairs as my mind turned to the machine beyond. Swallowing hard I slowly begin to pace my way towards the stairs, my stomach twisting into knots as I climb and my mind slowly fixating on my answer.

Pulling out my phone I quickly begin to start a search, crossing the threshold into the dank space as I quickly search up what information I could about the local school and for my way in.
