The world around me slowly bleeds back into my consciousness, the whirring and rumbling of the large device surrounding me being the first thing to force itself way into bombarding my senses. My mind reels, thoughts and feelings roiling and churning inside my skull as the mess slowly begins to settle.
My body feels numb, the vibrations running through the metal walls of the machine causing my arm and the side of my face to jostle and shake. As my eyes slowly open the vibrations leave my vision faltering, the dim steel room blurring severely as my eyes rattle inside my skull.
Bright red strands of hair soon begin to fall into view, the constant shaking of the machine shifting the heavily dyed strands out of their messy yet well-parted bob as my eye line is quickly filled with shades of bright neon red.
